Full job description

We are seeking skilled Restaurant Managers to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and possess strong leadership skills to ensure the restaurant runs smoothly. The candidate will be ready to work to given targets and against expected salary.

Working hours are from 5.45am to 3pm morning shift and 2pm till 11.15pm or till the last clients leave. PLEASE NOTE TIMES ARE ONLY INDICATIVE AND YOUR HOURS WILL VERY AS PER THE DEMANDS OF CLIENTS

The role:

  • Manage and lead a team of staff members, providing guidance and support
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by overseeing service quality and addressing customer concerns
  • Monitor food safety standards and compliance with health regulations
  • Work closely with the head chef on food quality, presentation and cooking time
  • Implement strategies to increase restaurant profitability
  • Handle inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
  • As Food & Beverage Manager, you will oversee all food and beverage operations, leading your team leaders and teams to deliver that exceptional guest service. We are looking for a candidate who can raise the bar and who thrives off developing their people.
  • You will organise all departments to work in conjunction with one another and ensure rotas and team par levels are correct for expected service levels, as well as being in line with agreed budgets and department cost controls.
  • Leadership and training will be a key part of your role, happy to be hands on, leading teams when required and implementing improvements to processes where needed.
  • Ongoing people management, team 121’s, annual appraisals, and development plans for your teams will also be an essential part of your role.
  • A standards approach will be needed to ensure the teams work to the 4-star standards and deliver these to all guests.
  • You will be capable of marketing the services of the restaurant and bring in clients through one-on-one interactions with businesses and clients
  • You will have a good knowledge of social media and know how to use various platforms to enhance profitability
  • The manager as the face of the business will be a socialite with connections to bring in business clients
  • A good grasp of accounting for the restaurant industry is needed
  • Pricing of food dishes and drinks using internationally recognised mark-up calculations and formula is a requirement
  • Basic knowledge of employment law, health and safety in the work place, waste management and security are a must
  • Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports without fail

The ideal candidate:

  • Previous 2yrs restaurant management experience in a fast paced, high-volume venue
  • Experience in managing a floor team in a restaurant environment
  • Experienced in building an energised and engaged team
  • Has a real authentic desire to develop from within
  • Passionate about the hospitality industry
  • Experience in a busy, fast paced business
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality or hotel industry
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
  • Experience in bartending, kitchen operations, or culinary arts is advantageous
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Proven track record in restaurant management and achieving business targets
  • You will be friendly and personable, and have a genuine passion for hospitality, guest service, developing and leading teams.
  • Proven experience in the hospitality sector as Food and Beverage Manager / Assistant Food and Beverage Manager or a Restaurant Manager
  • Solid understanding of department controls, including labour, stock and expenditure is required.
